Volunteering
The AWSLG is run entirely by volunteers, who work for the benefit of all and without whom the Society would not be able to function. All plot holders are encouraged to lend a hand when they can, even just for a few hours a year.
These are some of the ways in which volunteers can help out:
- becoming a cashier or warehouse helper in the Trading Hut
- joining Bob’s rota to help in the Canteen
- taking part in the Saturday morning Working Party for general Site maintenance
- helping out at one of our events, perhaps making cakes and/or washing up
Volunteering is a great way to make friends and become part of our community, and there are jobs to suit everyone’s skills and capabilities. Ask about it in the Office or speak to a member of the Committee.
